Hello there! Our site has not been fully translated to english yet, but we still welcome english speaking people at our dojo. (If you’re looking for the Finnish page but were directed here by Google then just click the Finnish flag above for our full site.)

We train at Nääshalli (address is Näsijärvenkatu 8, 33210 Tampere) in the room Budo 3. If you are visiting Taido practitioner from abroad feel free to just appear in any of our practice sessions. If you have any questions then you can reach us at hannurin@hotmail.com.

Our next beginners course for over 14-year-olds will start in September 12th 2022. Session is from 18:30 to 20:00 a’clock and is suitable for people of every age (above 14) and fitness background.

Taido is a Japanese martial art that uses the body in many ways. In Taido, you attack and defend at the same time using different body trajectories. Moving is one of the most important parts of Taido. It is difficult to hit a moving object, so there are eight different ways of moving your feet. Flips, somersaults and cartwheels are also used in the movement.

In addition to general fitness, Taido develops balance, coordination and agility. Taido is suitable for everyone, regardless of age, gender and past hobbies. For those seeking active training, Taido offers a challenging form of exercise. There is also the possibility to compete starting after just one year of training. However, competing is entirely voluntary and is not required for advancing belt grades.

Comfortable and flexible indoor exercise clothing is suitable for training. In the beginner’s course you will get to know Taido in many ways and after the course you will be able to continue training and take the first belt exam in May.

If you have any questions send an email to hannurin@hotmail.com.
